Introduction :
The project involves a stationary, pillar-shaped co-bot positioned on the street of a residential neighborhood. Equipped with vision windows at various heights, it can observe the surroundings from all angles. The co-bot's goal is to bring residents together to envision a greener and healthier street. By using sliders placed below the windows, residents can add or modify elements of their choice. These inputs are then used to generate an AI-created vision of the street's future appearance.
This innovative approach aims to spark conversations among residents, provoke thoughtful discussions, and encourage behavioral changes to realize their collective vision for the street. Through this interactive process, the co-bot fosters community engagement and collaboration in creating a sustainable future for their neighborhood.
Why?
The goal is to unite and engage residents in re-imagining their neighborhood, providing an opportunity to collaboratively shape and preserve a future vision. By doing so, the project aims to realize these visions with the help of the municipality through collective imagination.
We used 3 working slidable potentiometers and rest we made with wood to show how it will be in the real context. We pre-generated images and assigned values to each image on the potentiometer for the prototype.
Each slider was assigned one interesting element in the neighborhood to alter to liking.
These see-through goggles, made from wood, are designed to spark curiosity and invite playful exploration. Their intriguing design encourages people to look inside and engage with the experience.
